6 months ago – Car owners and car service companies have been clamoring for a touchless system to replace the need for an external camera or other external sensors for years.
With Apple’s upcoming iPhone Xs and Xs Max, the company is finally introducing a solution for that.
The new system, called the Touchless Auto Car Control System, is designed to replace existing systems that use sensors to determine the speed and position of a car.
The company says it will “improve the safety and comfort of people driving their vehicles,” while reducing accidents.
Apple’s Touchless System will be available to the public by the end of the year, though no pricing or release details have been released.
Apple will begin selling the system to car companies on October 2, and it’s likely to come to a number of major car companies as well.
